“So If You’re Ever Feeling Lost and Lonely…”
It’s safe to say, that if I was ever feeling down, I know for damn sure, I will always find comfort in the songs of Clean Cut Kid. Returning with their first new material since their debut album ‘Felt’ last year, our Liverpool friends remind us that there will always be someone there to help us through the dark times. Exploring a more lo-fi sound, Emily counsels us through those pangs of emotional stress with layered vocals and some dreamy Fleetwood Mac style aesthetics.
“‘Emily’ is about someone very close to us who was suffering from a severe bout of depression. It’s us reaching out and saying, “we know you’re ‘unwell’ here and not just ‘sad.’ The ultimate thing is to take the deepest emotions and work it in to a message that isn’t miserable.”
The new single is taken from their upcoming ‘Painkiller’ EP on 22nd October and will follow with their Give Love tour which will kick off on November 22nd. Check the dates below.
