“I’m Scared That The Waters You Call Home Lead You Away.”
Bespectacled music man Dan Croll returns with latest cut ‘Swim’ which is set to appear on his forthcoming second album due out early 2017 on Communion Records. The track features Stealing Sheep’s Rebecca Hawley and is a swelling synth-pool of mellowed vocals and infectious melodies. Accompanied by a suitably aquatic video, ‘Swim’ presents the levels of intimacy that come from bathing with a partner and worrying that they might be dipping their toes in someone else’s waters.
“The idea was that I’m away from my partner, spending too much time with my own thoughts and whilst laid in the bath alone, I’m conjuring up images of what could be happening back home, gradually becoming more self-destructive as the song goes on.”
