“Take everyday as it comes. You’re alive.”
There are moments in life when we can feel an overwhelming sensation from the beauty of our own existence; whether it’s jumping head first out of a plane, doing a Leo Dicaprio on the back of a ship, dancing in the pouring rain or glancing down at the view from a mountain top. Whatever these magical moments may be, Glass Caves has created a song to embrace them. Written whilst on tour in Edinburgh and inspired by the sights around them, ‘Alive’ is a euphoric ode to the majestic and grand nature of Scotland and an exhilaratingly anthemic shout out to living each day to it’s absolute fullest.
Having earned a reputation as one of the UK’s most dedicated bands on the road, Glass Caves unwavering work ethic has propelled the Leeds foursome from busking on side streets to relentlessly touring up and down the country. 2015 saw them play at festivals, support bands such as Augustines and The Feeling and even headline their own show at London’s Koko. Not to mention having their self-funded debut album (also called ‘Alive’) make Record Store Day’s Top 40 on the week of it’s release. It should be no time before their boundless energy and ambitious sound sees them climb even greater heights. Take a listen to the track below.
