Taken from their debut EP, “Souvenirs” London-based Swimming Tapes set summer hearts alight with their blissed out new single ‘Cameos’. Amongst a humid haze of languid guitars and dreamy laid-back vocals, images of shimmering sepia-toned summer days fill us with nostalgia and bittersweet longing for those beautifully breezy days ahead. It’s a perfectly affecting piece of slacker pop.
Of the track singer Robbie Reid explains : “Cameos” is about being far away from a person you want to see more of, dragging yourself through the week while wishing you were somewhere else“.
Swimming Tapes will headline The Waiting Room on 13th April.
