Video: Banners – Ghosts

Having first reached my ears back in March when Liverpool born singer/songwriter BANNERS (formerly known as Raines) first released this stunning debut, it undoubtedly became one of the most beautiful songs I had heard this year and has remained so with each subsequent play. Boasting a melancholic tone that sits somewhere between Bon Iver and James Vincent McMorrow, Mike Nelson’s haunting vocals delicately float above beating piano chords, capturing the internal ache that comes from still loving someone who has long since disappeared from your life.

Now returning with an equally stunning video, Nelson shares the pensive journey of a helmeted motorcyclist as he rides through a vacant Countryside, acting as a ghostly dark force who drifts in and out of familiar homes unnoticed.

Watch the video for Ghosts below and get set to hear some more striking music from BANNERS very soon.
